Job description

Paradigm Consulting is looking for a Communications Director to join our team based in Hong Kong. We want to speak to senior communications professionals with a solid background in client management, advisory, planning, execution, and delivery as well as a natural curiosity for learning and problem solving.

Overview

This individual is expected to support some of our major clients on a day-to-day basis with Chinese and English language content production, media relations and strategic advice. The role involves providing high quality output and advice, as well as being prepared to represent Paradigm Consulting to clients and the wider market. The incumbent is expected to take a leadership position within the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead major accounts and be available as a day-to-day contact person for designated clients

  • Actively advocate on behalf of Paradigm Consulting to the wider market. Identify tie-ups, collaborations or new avenues for development

  • Work alongside the co-founders and the top team to grow Paradigm Consulting by maintaining the existing clients and growing new revenue streams

  • Actively participate as a member of the management team in conversations about the future direction of the firm and the various strategic directions and options that it might take

  • Manage junior members of the team in terms of development and coaching as appropriate

  • Active engagement and responsibility for end-to-end delivery of wide-ranging communications projects across all clients

Requirements

  • Relevant work experience 12+ years required with agency and in-house preferred

  • Experience in strategic planning, developing a client network, along with team and client relationship management

  • Strong writing and content production skills. High proficiency in English essential.

  • Experience in developing thought leadership and/or stakeholder engagement programmes from idea generation to implementation and measuring impacts

  • Entrepreneurial and wanting to work in a growing company and the dynamics that brings

  • Experience in local and/ or international media relations, as well as reputation and crisis comms management

  • Less experienced candidates will be considered as Senior Consultants or Assistant Directors
